New England Classic Cars
New England – Cars, colors, and beauty.
In October we had a video shoot in New England. We were in New Hampshire and Vermont over four days. The cars we were shooting were a Morgan Plus 4 and an AC Bristol Coupe. Although we primarily shot with the Morgan, we broke out the Bristol on the Dartmouth campus and the Kancamagus Highway.
This video is a edited version of the hour and fifteen minute master video.
We would like to thank Lull Farm in Hollis, New Hampshire for all of their hospitality. We had the run of the farm to shoot whatever we needed to.
We would like to thank Raymond Gray with Gray Photography for having us out for this shoot. We enjoyed spending time with you and the family.
Until next year,

Grow Corpus Christi
Why does everything in this city have to do with tourists? WE ARE AN INDUSTRIAL TOWN. We have a government subsidized building that loses millions every year in hopes to have conventions that bring money into our city.
Here is an idea… Lets say yes to the new refinery project that will pay a lot of taxes. We then take that tax money and teach every little gangbanger here in Corpus Christi how to read and write. If we grow better citizens then we have the potential to have a better place to live.
I know, I know in order for this idea to work we will have to realize that we live in an industrial town that pollutes the air. But the fact is we do live in an industrial town that pollutes the air. Those polluters pay a lot of tax money and have the biggest employment base in the area. A few more green parks could help offset the pollution…. Read More

Someone found our dog
Not 18 hours after we lost our dog it was returned. I hope that everyone who looses a pet can have as much luck as we had. It is such a relief to have her back in our home.

Corpus Christi Caller Times Rejection
I tried to send the Corpus Christi LIVESTRONG Army cancer video to the Corpus Christi Caller Times. They have a section on their website where they ask for local videos. So I uploaded my video for the LIVESTRONG Army here in Corpus Christi. I figured that it would be a worth while cause that they would not mind having on their site. After all, they do ask for videos on their site.
I just received an email from the Corpus Christi Caller Times reading this:
We’ve decided not to feature your video on our website.
Video Title: LIVESTRONG Army
Uploaded To: Caller.com
Status: Not approved
Here is the video that they have rejected.

Could you tell me why? I would like to know.

The Earth Liberation Front
For those who don’t know,The Earth Liberation Frot is an organization that is trying to save the earth. There only problem is that everything they try to do to stop the so called evil harm doers is actually bad for the environment.
If you are trying to save the enviroment why would you burn a house down to save it? It just doesn’t make any since to me.
Thanks

Why we left downtown Corpus Christi
Why Big Box Pro left downtown

The Corpus Christi Business Center in Downtown Corpus Christi.
After 5 years in two separate downtown building we had to ask ourselves if it was really worth it. Our answer was no. We love the potential that downtown offers, but we had way to many serious concerns to keep running a business there.
There are a few reasons we left the downtown area.
-
SAFETY – Simply put we did not feel safe anymore. We have a lot of customers who have a typical 9 to 5 job and are not available to meet during regular business hours. When our customers would come down to our studio after the sun went down they would fear for their lives. There were many times when customers would not come and meet with us because we were located in downtown Corpus Christi and it was after 6pm. One client said she was glad we came down and opened up the door when we did because she felt like she was going to get raped if she was out there any longer. We could not keep putting our clients in harms way.
-
SMELL – Anyone who has been to the second floor of the Corpus Christi Business Center can tell you that it smells. In fact it smells like a sewer plant is working overtime. After several clients would not stay to see there clients we had to take the smell into great consideration. In talking with some of the other tenant on the second floor they also had the same problem with clients not wanting to be around when the smell was so intense.
-
PARKING & DRIVING – Believe it or not people have problems navigating downtown. I know it sounds silly, but some people can not handle the one way streets. It might be that downtown is the only place that has a great concentration of one way streets, but some people will not come and visit because of it. In addition to the driving situation the parking is also a major problem in the downtown area. If you can find a spot you are lucky. Parallel parking is difficult for some people. I know these items sound a bit obscure but these have been actual complaints from clients over the last few years.
-
BUMS & HOMELESS – I know not all homeless are bums and not all bums are homeless, but the Corpus Christi downtown area has enough of both to go around. The farther you get away from the buss station the better you are. Being a block away from the Greyhound station put us in firing range for daily harassment. It was non stop harassment from the day we moved in to the day we left. There was always someone there who wanted change, or just something to eat or drink. There must be some people out on the streets in need of help just don’t expect to find them in downtown Corpus. If notice that there are not any bums around it is usually due to the fact some one is looking to purchase a building in the area. The seller knows about the bums and will give them some money to beat it for the afternoon. So if you don’t see bums, look to the guys in suits.
-
HANKS NEW LOUNGE & TIMES MAEKET – This point ties in with #4 quite well. I have to give credit to a bar with the title “NEW” in it that has outlasted most businesses in Corpus Christi. Hanks New Lounge should be called the bums cheep buzz. If your grandfather ever worked downtown then he would know of Hanks. At one time Hanks New Lounge might have been a happening place, but now all you can find a cheep buzz and a hooker to waste your money on. At one time the hookers at Hanks and the previous owners of the Corpus Christi Business Center had an agreement for rooms rented by the hour. How is that for a classy place you would like to do business? Oh yea, don’t think the Downtown Management District doesn’t know about this it all happens right out their windows everyday. When the folks are not working it at hanks they stroll down to Times Market. This is one of the newest businesses to infect the downtown area. Some might think it would be good to have a convince store located in the heart of the Downtown Management District. I think it is a bad idea to let Times Market do business downtown. If you have been in one you would know there predominate sales items are 40’oz beer, cigarettes and Philly Blunts.
So it all comes down to one question…. If you were a consumer of professional video productions, would you purchase services from a business that is located where you found it difficult to find, park, it smelled horrible, was unsafe, or you were harassed when entering or exiting the building?
Once we weighed all of out options we wondered why we had not moved out sooner. So for now we have to say goodbye to downtown Corpus Christi. We think the area has a lot of potential and room to grow but it is just not a safe place to be.
